Welcome to another episode of DoPodcaster The Done For You Podcast. This is the place where we share innovative strategies to help local businesses, content creators, and professionals grow their customer base with their very own Done For You Podcast. Today, we’re diving into a really fascinating topic about creating bite-sized, AI-driven podcasts for local businesses. I’m your host, Howard Harrison, and with me today is our expert, Sophia Carter.
Howard:
Sophia, great to have you with us.
Sophia:
Thanks, Howard. I’m excited to join you and discuss how local businesses can leverage the power of snackable content to engage customers and drive business growth. Bite-sized podcasts are such a great way to achieve this.
Howard:
Absolutely, Sophia. Let’s jump right into it. With the digital world being so fast-paced, bite-sized content really resonates with busy local consumers. These short and focused episodes can effectively capture their attention. What do you think makes them so powerful for local businesses?
Sophia:
Bite-sized podcasts are powerful because they respect the audience’s time while delivering meaningful value. In today’s world, attention spans can be quite short, and people often look for quick and tangible insights. With concise episodes, local businesses can drill down on specific customer needs, offering immediate solutions or advice that listeners can act upon right away. This approach helps to not only engage the audience, but also positions the business as a valuable resource in their market.
Howard:
I completely agree. It’s about delivering expertise without overloading the listener. These podcasts serve to educate while building a brand’s credibility in the community. Plus, as customers apply these tips and see tangible benefits, they are more likely to keep coming back, not just for the podcast but for the business’s products and services as well.
Sophia:
Exactly. And that’s where identifying the perfect weekly tip comes into play. Businesses need to tap in to what truly matters to their customers, identifying pain points or challenges they face regularly. Once those key areas are identified, the business can craft tips around these issues. It’s a great strategy to maintain direct relevance to the audience, while also showcasing the business’s unique strengths.
Howard:
That’s a good strategy. I also think it’s important for businesses to structure their podcast episodes effectively to ensure clarity. Would you say the same?
Sophia:
Definitely, Howard. Structuring the podcast is crucial. Start by engaging what they will learn. Follow this with a deep dive into the tip or trick of the week, explaining why it’s useful and how it can be applied effectively. Including a personal story can often drive the point home, making the content not just informative but also memorable. Finally, wrap up with a quick recap and a call to action that encourages listeners to apply what they’ve learned. And that’s where AI can play a significant role.
Howard:
This podcast is a perfect example. Both you and I are AI-generated. In fact, that’s what DoPodcaster is all about, creating short, bite-sized weekly podcast episodes using the business owner’s voice without them having to speak a single word. And at DoPodcaster, it’s all done for them. What’s your take on how AI is able to create these podcasts?
Sophia:
Well, Howard, as you know, it’s not just AI. What you guys are doing and what we’re all part of here at DoPodcaster is truly something revolutionary. Even those business owners and content creators who want to create weekly podcast episodes have learned how difficult it actually is. Consistency is a big part of any podcast. And many podcasters have found that out for themselves.
Howard:
Great points. Our AI podcast platform was designed to help businesses fine-tune their episodes, making content more engaging over time. Plus, with storytelling techniques, these tips become even more relatable, bridging the gap between the business and the listener. By weaving narrative into these tips, businesses can make the advice stickier in the audience’s memory.
Sophia:
Storytelling is indeed critical. Personal stories or anecdotes make tips relatable and are often what makes listeners share content. Promoting the podcast in local markets also plays a pivotal role. Leveraging social media, collaborating with local influencers, or even hosting community events can boost visibility and listenership. Absolutely. And as listenership grows, it’s equally important to measure the podcast’s success. Businesses should track metrics like customer engagement, listener growth, and conversion rates to….
Understanding these metrics can help adjust strategies, possibly leading to even better outcomes. Tracking engagement metrics is really valuable. It tells you a ton about what’s working and where you might need to pivot. But beyond metrics, consistency remains key.
Releasing episodes weekly with fresh relevant content keeps the audience engaged and encourages them to anticipate new episodes. Consistency is indeed crucial. Having a steady stream of fresh content each week keeps your audience hooked and builds trust over time.
Howard:
You don’t want to miss out on how this can transform your customer engagement strategy. As we wrap up today’s show, we’ve explored how short, engaging podcasts tailored to your local business can effectively drive customer engagement and business growth. From utilizing AI in production to structuring your episodes for maximum impact and crafting relatable stories to sustain interest, each aspect plays a pivotal role. Thank you, Sophia, for sharing your expertise with us today.
Thank you to our listeners for tuning in. Make sure to join us next time for more insights on building your business with the power of podcasts. Until then, keep those ideas flowing and your customers growing.
In short…
Start with the audience and build the podcast for them instead of starting with the podcast and finding the audience after. That may seem simple enough in theory but 99.9% of people starting a podcast do this backwards.
Most people that start a podcast mess up right out of the gate and build the kind of thing that is impossible to make money from. The kinds of podcast that we build are strategically designed to make money (before we ever think about recording a second of audio)
In short…
You can’t start a podcast about anything and expect to make money with it. You need to make sure that the money is there before you start.
So what kind of podcasts make money?
THE ANSWER: Micro Niche Podcast.
We’re not talking about podcasts that are the top of the charts that have tons of listeners and can easily get sponsors. Most of them are done by people that already have a fan base (TV and Movie Celebrities or people that are part of a larger podcast network). We aren’t even talking about using a podcasts as a way to grow an existing business because it allows you to connect with guest that are ideal customers (I’ve covered that in the past).
We’re talking about highly niche podcasts that are built around talking about products that you can make money on.
Step 1:
We find a niche audience that is already spending a ton of money on a certain category of products. (We use social media in a bit of an unorthodox way to verify our idea and make sure we have tons of potential listeners and buyers).
Step 2:
We make sure that there are hundreds of products that we can make a commission on or sell outright to that audience.
Step 3:
We build out a strategic “hour a week” podcasts that is really just a cleverly disguised commercial for those products.
Step 4:
We turn around and market that podcast to the exact same people that we found hiding on Social Media (back in step #1 above).
Step 5:
Each week, we see commissions and sales roll in based on people clicking through links in our “Show Notes” (this is not a “transcription” of our podcast. It’s much simpler than that) and we do more podcast around the kind of items that are selling the best.
…and that is creating a podcast that was built with a purpose from Day 1. That purpose being to make money and provide you with an income that you don’t need to go to an office or traditional job to make.
The secret is to get the details right before you start recording.
Rather than force you to go through all of the work, mistakes, and thousands of hours of research that I had to do to get there, I’d like to share my step-by-step blueprint to creating your own Profitable Podcast (doing it the smart way).
In short…
I’d like to help you skip the trial and error and create your 5k/month podcast in an extremely accelerated time frame.
